The Librarian (no connection whatsoever with the movies)

Got new book rack at home that need to be filled, or rather already filled with my old novels and some liquer bottles (only one opened). And suddenly there's  a rush of interest for me to buy and read new books.

So began the 'crusade' of buying new books. Got some by James Rollins' Sigma Force series and one book that excited me the most is 'Sifu' by my no.1 favorite writer, Mr. Khoo Keng-Hor.

Following paragraph is my review I wrote on MPH online bookstore.

The story of Mao Dong Po, who witness the murder of his father by an overzealous British Officer who was determine to root out all communist and those who help the communist. From this on he wanted to take revenge for his father.

After his family moved to Padang Besar to live with his uncle, he met a man, his 'Sifu', that will shape his future to become an assassin.

For those who read the author's previous novels (Taikor, Mamasan, Nanyang) will feel 'at home' again when we're met with some of the most important characters in Khoo Kheng-Hor 'universe'. Although they only played small part within this novel, it does set the stories in motion. And how the story entangled to the previous novels (especially 'Taikor'), it will make you think, "ah.. this is what actually happened."

I highly recommended this book as a Must-Read. For those who follow Khoo Kheng-Hor and haven't read it yet, go and buy it. Worth every penny!! And hopefully more to come from the 'Taikor' universe!

Quite a review for a first-time reviewer. I'm not proud of it since I feel I can write bettet review thsn that. The problem is my vocabulary is limited. Guess I need go learn how to write reviews and read more books!

More stories to come.

the ONE

15/10/2009 (day 46 after 'revelation') (day 2 after 'separation') for the one you love the most.. when you really love somebody you tend to give him/her the best you could give. and somehow you become a person you are not or you're not suppose to be.. i mean, you become a new person to suit his/her likeness.. you'll learn new things.. and most of it are changing your life.. you become someone to be depend on, to be trusted, to be caring, to be faithfull, to be obedient, to be willing to sacrifice, to be honest, and the most important is to be the 'one' for the one you love.. its an unconditional love.. loving is a learning process.. and to be the 'one' there are so many do and don't.. and we have to admit there are times when we are not doing what is suppose to be and make mistakes along the way.. but that's love; that's life..

beautiful ride

22/10/2009 (day 52 of 'revelation') (day 9 of 'separation') life is a journey, as if travelling one places to another.. and different places telling different stories.. sum it altogether and we have so many precious memories and examples of what life really mean to us.. encountering many people, heard their stories, shared their happiness or misery, making me think that no matter how wiser we were, much wiser we get when we learn from other people's life.. i mean, the experience is nowhere to be found unless you get to know other person and learn their experiences of how they facing each days dealing with their problems or i rather say, their 'life'.. different person bring different 'life', and different 'life' bring different experiences.. whether its an experience on dealing with love, lost-love, death, new-born, jobs, etc. accepting anything happened in life is actually not hard to do.. denying truth in life is just as same as lying to yo...

aigoo..

its been a long long time since my last post.. and this post should be long because there is a lot to write about. but first let me say thank you to my visitors. whoever you are, u know u been thanked. i've been trying to write a story.. got lots of ideas but nothing came to materialized. well, its just because i can't transform my ideas into writings. but then, not everybody can write a story. better yet, a good story to read. what i found out about writing stories was to present a character we have to elaborate 'him/her' so that our reader will understand about this character. sometime its easy, but most of the time its hard for me. well, to describe a character, you have to be the character. or maybe i'm wrong.. guess i got lots of things to learn about writing. hehehe.. i hope i won't give up on this.. writing stories based on reality require me to do research. i done lots of research about the background of my story. the only problem is i lacked resource. i...
